Gifts from Smokey Mountains -Sledding away
My youngest DD went down to the Smokey Mountains with her boyfriend for a mini vacation and while there she stopped by Dixie Darlin and bought me a surprise.
As far as I know Dixie Darlin is the only place these sleds and patterns are sold. Please if I'm wrong correct me on this. They have 9 different charts to choose from.
I started on the little Penguin and will have him finished tonight and hope to share finish tomorrow. I love stitching on paper and am always surprised how well it holds up. I may even stitch a few more of these designs on paper and look for other things to glue them to and make my own ornaments. Any suggestions?
How is your weekend going? I stopped by the church bazaar today and will share with you what I found lurking in a box under a table and yes it's crossed stitched related. Stay tuned as I haven't taken pictures yet.
Pulling Tuna Noodle Casserole out of the oven for dinner so for now I wish you happy stitching,
hugs

Those sleds are darling. I seen a couple of them made up for an exchange in June at the retreat
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you found
aww they are so cute xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift from your daughter. I am looking forward to seeing your finish.
ReplyDeleteOh that is a fantastic gift from your daughter. I especially love the quilted tops.
ReplyDeleteThey are exclusive to Dixie Darlins'. I picked some up there in August while on vacation. Wish I could find the sleds somewhere here. They are so cute and easy to stitch and finish up. They recently added bird ornaments with designs on as well.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of stitching more on paper and then just finishing off the back with felt, adding a hanger of course.
