Real Lazy Housewives of...

I'm forming a new reality group called REAL LAZY HOUSEWIVES OF STITCHING ...anyone want to join me? I stitched for 4 hours today on a Christmas gift, an ornament for exchange and a wee little card. I have nothing I can show for now. The pic above is of my inspiration board in my craft room. Going to be a beautiful weekend here in Ohio so I plan to take the stitching outdoors tomorrow. lol No not planning on doing any yard-work just stitching. :)

 Join me?

Felted Beads-Acorns- and Ornaments

Good morning friends. Early start for me today but that's normal. I usually wake up at 5:00 a.m and can't go back to sleep so up I stay and start my day with meditation. Today I thought I might share my new craft of needle felting. Oh yes I blame it on the farmer's market that I helped DH run for 20 weeks. One of the vendors was an ALPACA WOOL seller and she had the most amazing felted creations. I always wanted a felted bead necklace so decided to make my own. Although I still need to put it all together you can see that I have enough felted beads to make a few necklaces.
I also made a few felted acorns:
No stitching to share today because I worked on another gift for am upcoming ornament exchange on the TS Board. I love our annual Christmas Ornament exchange and have quite a few to hang on my tree every year. I love one of a kind ornaments and hand stitched ones are the very best. I hope all of you have a happy and healthy Thursday, -missy-

Hello friends. It's a beautiful day here in Ohio today. I've been busy cleaning the garage and putting to bed the rest of the garden. Hard to look out at it now and not miss the lush fullness it once was but I can at least plan for next spring. Recently we traveled to my favorite little town called Yellow Springs. It's a very earthy town with loads of great little restaurants, art galleries and plenty of shopping. Here are a few of my favorite pics. I love the tree art:
I love this table outside one of the well know shops:
I could live in that town or should I say I WANT to live in that town. :) Okay as promised here is one of the finished sleds DD bought me while on vacation:
Well I had better get in the kitchen and start prepping dinner or should I just pick up the phone and order out? lol I hope all of you have a happy and healthy day. -missy-

Making History-VOTE

Today you have a chance to help make history. From keeping the current President or electing a new one, local politics, and state laws we all have a chance to help make a difference ,set a standard, change the future for our children and for everyone around us. Please VOTE and know what you're voting for. So many women helped make it legal for all women to vote. I never take this for granted.
I wish all of you a happy and healthy day. As for me I'm getting ready to have a bite of breakfast and then head to my local polling center. hugs -missy-

Found STITCHED Treasure

Hello friends. Yesterday I told you about a little treasure I found at the church bazaar well here it is:
Isn't it sweet? The stitching is beautiful and the backside it as great as the front. It had the grand price tag of $1.00 but was marked down to half of that as it was the last day of the sale at the bazaar. Not sure what I will do with it but I just couldn't let it hide there in a needed to see light. I also found these sweet booklets:
They were ten cents each. I also found some linen, hoops and knitting needles. It was a very nice way to start a Sunday morning. The rest of the day was spent picking the last of the Ghost peppers, Jalapenos, some winter greens for DD, and trimming the mint to dry for tea this winter. I can't believe how some of the flowers are still holding as well as they have been.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Don't forget to VOTE tomorrow. hugs -missy-

Gifts from Smokey Mountains -Sledding away

My youngest DD went down to the Smokey Mountains with her boyfriend for a mini vacation and while there she stopped by Dixie Darlin and bought me a surprise.
As far as I know Dixie Darlin is the only place these sleds and patterns are sold. Please if I'm wrong correct me on this. They have 9 different charts to choose from. I started on the little Penguin and will have him finished tonight and hope to share finish tomorrow. I love stitching on paper and am always surprised how well it holds up. I may even stitch a few more of these designs on paper and look for other things to glue them to and make my own ornaments. Any suggestions? How is your weekend going? I stopped by the church bazaar today and will share with you what I found lurking in a box under a table and yes it's crossed stitched related. Stay tuned as I haven't taken pictures yet. Pulling Tuna Noodle Casserole out of the oven for dinner so for now I wish you happy stitching, hugs -missy-
